Dr. Denisa Kostovicova
short biography
Dr Denisa Kostovicova is a Lecturer in Global Politics at the Government Department and a Research Fellow at the Centre for the Study of Global Governance, at the London School of Economics and Political Science. She has a PhD and MPhil from the University of Cambridge, and an MA from Central European University, Czech Republic. She held Junior Research Fellowships at Wolfson College, Cambridge, and Linacre College, Oxford. Her monograph, Kosovo: The Politics of Identity and Space, was published by Routledge in 2005.
research interests
Dr Kostovicova’s research interests and the areas in which she has published include nationalism and democratisation in the global age, post-conflict reconstruction and security, civil society and human security, and European integration of Western Balkans.
multi-stakeholder partnerships in post-conflict reconstruction
Dr Kostovicova is part of a consortium working on the Framework 7- funded project: 'Multi-stakeholder Partnerships in Post-Conflict Reconstruction: The Role of the European Union'. The Project investigates whether, how, and under what conditions multistakeholder partnerships can positively impact on human security and thus, facilitate non-violence and long-term peace, providing a productive framework for relations between local actors and external actors, including third party mediators and international organisations.
