Centre for Research into Economics and Finance in Southern Africa (CREFSA)

A new CREFSA website is currently under construction      

Established in 1990, CREFSA is a centre for independent research into economic and financial sector policy in Southern Africa. Centre research has focused on:

• the determinants of cross-border capital flows and implications for macroeconomic policy,
• financial regulation and financial sector development, and
• regional economic integration.

The Centre's research activities include collaboration with researchers in Southern Africa as well as capacity building initiatives to improve the quality of policy-making processes in the region.
